Objects
Object Layer Settings¶
Object Icon¶
This icon displays what asset is active or that the layer is set to Scene Objects. Click this icon in order to change the asset OR change what objects should be used in the layer.
If you see a dotted-outline box instead of a scene or asset icon it means an asset was not selected
Selecting Scene Objects¶
Pulls up a popup panel that lists the objects in the scene that can be scattered. Toggling an object will either add or remove the object from that layer and the collection.
Object Quality Level¶
TrueTERRAIN Assets Only
Change the quality level of the selected TrueTERRAIN asset
Collection¶
Scene Objects Only
Choose a different collection.
Scatter Type¶
Choose whether this object layer should pull from the installed assets or those in the scene.
Likelihood¶
Notice changing the likelihood of one scatter object directly affects the amount of the other scatter object(s)
This slider allows you to vary the amount of assets in this layer compared to others. The percentage should roughly work out to be the Likelihood value divided by the sum of all the Likelihood value of all the Layer objects on this Scatter Layer.
Display as Bounds¶
Change the underlying asset that is loaded into the scene to display only its bounding box. This can increase viewport speed by 1-2 fps allowing for a more responsive viewport.
This will change all uses of this object/asset of all scatter layers scene wide.
Visibility¶
Allow TrueTERRAIN to use this layer in its calculations. This will not just hide these assets. It will allow other assets to take its place proportional to the likelihood.
Object Materials¶
In this dropdown panel will be included all materials on the active Scatter Object allowing you to change many different things such as the color of the leaves or amount of snow or wetness of the assets.
These materials are global and will change the assets for the entire scene
